Kushies "On the Go" 2 Pack Wet Bag, Green reviews from buyers.
Excellent value, great functionality
These bags are well constructed from what I can tell. They do an excellent job at keeping odors contained, even for long periods of time. I was skeptical about a drawstring being effective for odor control, but the drawstring works very well with the super flexible material of these bags and seals it shut. I have another bag that zips closed (planetwise brand), and it doesn't measure up to these bags at all. They are totally waterproof (don't get moist around edges) and can hold 3-4 large diapers if you need them too and several newborn diapers (I have a 21 month old and a newborn in cd's). I would highly recommend these bags to anyone who wants to get a few extra bags to have in your car or around your house (if you have more than one in diapers for example). I am VERY pleased with this purchase. Not to mention it is an excellent price!
Love em!
After reading the reviews about the bags not being very big, I paid attention to how large "large" is... they're not huge, but they hold quite a few diapers in each bag. I carry both bags around with me - one for the diapers if there's nowhere to throw them out right away, and one for dirty food bowls, spoons, etc. (by the way, the person that is talking about one of the bags being tiny must have purchased the other bag pack where you see the "big" bag and then a cute little postage stamp bag in the picture - this set has two "large" bags, as it claims).
The one thing that I was worried about when I got them was that there was just a draw-string closing mechanism. I thought - oh man, this isn't going to keep poopy diapers in and smell from coming out. So, being the geeky scientist that I am, I did the experiment that all of you will not want to do - I put a soiled diaper in the bag, drew it closed and waited. For quite a few days, just to see how smelly it would get...
Utter Failure as a "Wet" Bag - You Get What You Pay For!
I purchased this pair of so-called wet bags several months ago to tote our soiled cloth diapers home from when we are out and about in my bag. I was lured in by the economical cost (2 for lower price than 1 for some other brand bags) and lots of good reviews.
In my opinion, they do not contain wet or stink very well. Honestly I've had better luck with using plastic grocery bags over these Kushies' bags! They are made of one layer of what seems to be slightly "water-resistant" material with and have a drawstring closure on the top. I have found that they will leak if anything truly wet is in the bag. I've put a rinsed out cloth diaper in one bag, hung it up in my bathroom, only to find a small puddle underneath it later. Damp, wrung out items do okay, but the way the bag is constructed, moisture from the wet or damp items wicks out of the bag through the Kushies brand tag on the side for sure and possibly through the side seams also. The other issue is that if you carry...
Kushies "On the Go" 2 Pack Wet Bag, Green is one of the best cloth diapers from Kushies.
