Had such hopes...
I had used RnG for about 6-8 weeks. When I first got RnG I did 4, yes 4, overnight soaks per instructions. Mind you, I didn't have that big of an ammonia problem but jumped on the bandwagon and thought I'd do a major strip of my stash as RnG was supposed to be so fantastic. After the 2nd soak, my diapers reeked of ammonia! Which is why I did 2 more soaks. And, because everyone was so adamant that the initial soak was bringing up crud from the inserts I just had to keep using RnG and that the problem will go away with continued use. Well, 6 weeks later and my problem was NO better. In addition, with continued use, my inserts were coming out of my dryer smelling dirty.
It is 1 month later and I am finally getting my inserts back to normal with my original detergent. I do have to commend Kim (the RnG owner) as she personally worked with me to try and get it sorted and even sent me samples of Hard Rock, for free, to try in the event it was my water. This just did not work for...
Wonderful detergent for cloth diapers

This worked pretty well, until I moved.
If there's one thing you'll learn about cloth diapers, it's that your laundry system will be completely different from everyone else's due to your child's body chemistry, your diaper brands, your water quality, and your washing machine. Though we kept the same machines, the water at our new location was incredibly different, and after a cycle or two of washing diapers in the new house, my son's rump was red and rashy! Needing some new laundry solutions, I decided to get Rockin' Green and I am so glad I...
There are cheaper alternatives
The main component of this detergent is sodium carbonate, or Washing Soda. You can buy a 55oz box of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda for $3 to $4. Just add a tablespoon to your regular cloth diaper detergent. Voila! Homemade Rockn' Green for about 20% the cost. You're welcome.
