GroVia Cloth Diaper Shell - Hook & Loop - Sweetgrass Reviews

GroVia Cloth Diaper Shell - Hook & Loop - Sweetgrass reviews from buyers.

Good but not great
At first I was really pleased with these cloth diapers but after three months the kiwi shells had worn out the elastic around the legs. The mandarin seemed to hold up fine however. I ordered more of the kiwi shells and again the elastic is worn out. It is now been 8 months and the mandarin are in fair condition. The elastic isn't completely worn out but it has lost some of the stretch. I air dry them so they are not getting worn out by the heat of the dryer.

I ordered the shells with velcro and if I were to order this set again I would order the ones with snaps. The velcro can stick to soft clothing very easily. My biggest problem is when my boys are in their fleece-like pajamas. The fuzzy material attracts the velcro very easily and it makes the diaper to come undone. I keep having to unzip them and reattach the diaper. Very annoying.

The diaper inserts have elastic in them as well which have held up just fine and those do go in the dryer. You need to run...

Love them
I have six of the GroVia Hook and Loop ("Velcro") Shells, and we love them. The hook and loops are great quality, stick very well but are soft so they don't hurt if they touch the baby during changings. We use the shells with the GroVia stay dry inserts, the organic inserts, and prefolds on laundry day. The stay dry inserts are hard to stain, seriously! Sometimes I wish I had more of those. But we like the organic inserts because the baby feels wet right away, so we can change her faster to avoid diaper rash (and also, hopefully, to encourage potty training earlier). Even though the organic inserts stain easier, they bleach out well enough in the sun so they don't look gross. I have even sun bleached them from inside the house from a sunny windowsill.

We have had absolutely no issues with leaking outside of the shells, though we do sometimes have leaks from the inserts onto the inside of the shell. But the mess has always stayed inside the shell. And the shells wash easily...

Awesome diapers
These are my favorite diapers for my three month old. I love them so much, I haven't had a chance to try them out on my two year old even though I have had them for a month now. I bought two new covers, one used cover (Grobaby), and 11 used inserts since the inserts are so expensive. This plus two Flip covers keeps my three month old diapered full time for three days.

As for the product, I love it. If you are a cloth diaper user, you know that cloth diapers do not fit the same as disposables. Regular diapers tend to be round and cloth tend to be a bit boxy. These Grovia's are the closest thing I have found to disposables. They're actually quite trim considering the bulk of the actual insert. They also hold a TON. If you've already done disposables and are spoiled by infrequent changes and get scared reading a review that says they check their baby every 15-30 minutes, this is the diaper for you. The velcro isn't regular velcro, it is much stronger. I haven't seen this type...

GroVia Cloth Diaper Shell - Hook & Loop - Sweetgrass is one of the best cloth diapers from GroVia.
