Thirsties Duo All In One Snap, Polka Dance, Two reviews from buyers.
I love Thirsties diapers!!
My 12 month old has been in Thirsties cloth diapers since she was born (well, once we used up all of the disposable freebies). We've used the duo diapers with the stay dry duo inserts, the duo snap wraps with the prefold inserts, and the all in ones with the hemp inserts. They are all fantastic!
So, let's focus on the AIO. I love that I don't have to get my hands dirty during a changing by removing an insert. I love that I don't have to use an insert during the day. I love that I put it on like a regular diaper. I love that it's not as bulky as the others. And I love that it doesn't leak. However, I really have to keep an eye on the clock. If the baby goes 3 over hours in the same diaper, it can soak through or leak through the legs. This is the only Thirsties diaper I've tried that actually soaks through the diaper. So, if I'm busy cleaning the house or something, it'll mean getting my hands dirty on a wet diaper and needing a change of clothes.
If I had to...
Great after a few washes!!
this cloth diaper leaked the first time or two, but after about five washes they no longer leak. These definitely need to be prepped more than Thirsties recommends! That said, I absolutely LOVE these cloth diapers. Our main stash is a collection of 2-in-1 systems (mostly Best Bottom and Grovia) although we have prefolds/covers, fitteds, aios, and 3-in-ones. I find myself reaching for these Thirsties AIOs more often. We haven't seen any gaposis at the legs or waist. The size 1 is the same as size 2 on the smallest setting. Right now, our large 3 mo old fits into both. FYI: Our kiddo is tall with chubby thighs.
PROS:
*They wash well
*Have not retained stink
*DRY FAST
*Held in explosive EBF poop even without double gusset
*Super soft inner
*Customizable absorbancy
*Trim for an AIO
*Aplix sticks without wrestling (like Best Bottoms H&L which is a little TOO sticky)
CONS:
*IMHO too pricey for a full stash
*Adding a doubler inside...
So far so good
This is our first adventure in cloth diapering. After copious amounts of research, we decided to start with this brand. I purchased prefolds, the duo cover, a duo fab fitted, stay dry inserts, the duo AIOs, and the wipes, all from Thirsties. The AIO has been the easiest to use. My husband has no complaints about these versus disposables (and I'm shocked). These wash well, don't stain, dry in about 1 1/2 cycles in the dryer on medium (not too bad). The snaps hold up well to both my 2 month old and my 2 year old who wears them to bed. I haven't used them with a liner yet. I do recommend the snaps over the velcro though. The velcro doesn't hold up well in the wash after only a few weeks, and I've been careful with it. Also, one diaper arrived with a damaged snap (still functional but cracked). Thirsties customer service immediately sent out a replacement and postage paid return for the damaged one. Great customer service is a great bonus. Everything arrives in eco friendly...
Thirsties Duo All In One Snap, Polka Dance, Two is one of the best cloth diapers from Thirsties.
