Hard Rock Cloth Diaper & Laundry Detergent - Motley Clean reviews from buyers.
Great detergent!
I am so glad I got this! I am so ashamed that I used (gasp) All free and Clear on my cloth diapers for the first month.....I did not do enough research....I thought they were ruined until I got this detergent. I stripped them once and have been using Rock in Green for 3 months and have not had a smell or stain since! I would highly recommend this!
Loving this detergent for our hard water
I love this scent, and I love this detergent. The raspberry scent is to die for. Close up the bag though - if you don't the detergent will loose its smell.
I finally found THE wash routine for hard Phoenix water:
1 tablespoon of Funk Rock in the pre rinse.
2 tablespoons of Rockin' Green Hard Rock in the regular wash.
Then an extra rinse.
Strip with Funk Rock every 4-6 weeks for a deep clean.
No build up issues. No ammonia issues. FINALLY!

Worth the money
Moved to MI and ran into HARD WATER! My diapers got DINGY, repellent, and stinky. All the stripping (Dawn, hot water, etc) didn't do anything. Couldn't get the built-up minerals out. Ordered Rockin Green for hard water as well as Funk Rock. Soaked my diapers in Funk Rock, washed with Rockin Green and was DISAPPOINTED at first. DIDN'T WORK! (I thought.) Then I noticed that the directions on the Rockin Green package said to soak overnight (may take a few soaks) to get the mineral build-up out. So, here is what worked:
1) Cold water rinse
2) Hot water soak overnight with 3 Tbsp of Rockin Green
I have a regular old top-loader. I'd fill it with the hot water, let it swish for a min or so then pop the knob in and let the diapers soak all night)
3) In the morning pop the knob out and finish the wash
4) Rinse again (important! Kids got rashes otherwise)
5) Dry in dryer or on the line
I have done this for about a month now and my diapers are...
Hard Rock Cloth Diaper & Laundry Detergent - Motley Clean is one of the best cloth diapers from Rockin' Green.
